The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable wearing many hats in a collaborative, growth-stage environment.Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Finance Manager is responsible for accounting and financial reporting tied to the company’s manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role owns site-level month-end close activities, fixed assets and equipment capitalization, work order variance analysis, accruals, and financial analysis supporting production and supply chain decision-making. The role partners closely with plant operations, supply chain, and corporate finance to ensure accurate reporting and to surface variances that drive operational action. Reports to the Senior Director of Finance.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesMonth-End CloseExecute month-end close activities for supply chain and manufacturing, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and close checklist tasksPrepare and post all related accruals (freight, utilities, temp labor, R&M, inbound/outbound logistics, etc.) with documented supportReconcile inventory, WIP, and finished goods accounts; research and resolve discrepanciesPrepare variance commentary on manufacturing and supply chain P&L lines against budget, forecast, and prior periodWork Order and Manufacturing VariancesAnalyze work order variances daily and at close — material usage, labor, overhead absorption, and yieldSpot and call out abnormal variances to operations, supply chain, and finance leadership with root-cause contextPartner with production, planning, and procurement to investigate recurring variances and support corrective actionMaintain standard cost data in NetSuite and support periodic standard cost rollsFixed Assets and CapitalMaintain the fixed asset sub-ledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and monthly depreciationHandle capitalization of new equipment: review capex documentation, confirm placed-in-service dates, and tag assetsTrack capex spend against approved projects and report status to finance leadershipSupport periodic fixed asset physical verificationsFinancial AnalysisProduce ongoing analysis on cost per case, cost of manufacturing, scrap and waste, freight, and other supply chain KPIsSupport the annual budget and periodic forecasts for manufacturing and supply chainBuild ad-hoc analyses for cost-savings initiatives, capital projects, sourcing changes, and process improvementsServe as a finance resource for plant and supply chain leadershipControls and AuditFollow internal controls over manufacturing and supply chain accounting processesSupport internal and external audit requests for related dataIdentify and recommend improvements to close and reporting processesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of accounting/finance experience; food/CPG preferredHands-on experience with standard costing and work order variance analysisWorking knowledge of fixed asset accounting and capitalization rulesProficiency in NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and advanced ExcelStrong analytical skills and attention to detailComfortable on the plant floor, willing to walk the lines and chase down the “why” behind a varianceSolid communication skills; able to explain finance concepts to non-finance operatorsCPA high preferred/strong manufacturing accounting experience
