Job ID: 2611741Location: Crane, IN, USDate Posted: 2026-04-23Category: Wage Determination (SCA)Subcategory: Service Contract ActSchedule: Full-TimeShift: Day JobTravel: Yes - 25% of the timeMinimum Clearance Required: Interim_SecretClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: SecretPotential for Remote Work: ORA_ON_SITEDescriptionSAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician, IV, to support our NSWC Crane customer, in the Small Arms Weapons Division, JXN.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide test and evaluation, engineering, modeling and simulation, and preparation of technical data packages for Small Arms Ammunition (caliber .22 through caliber .60 and 40mm grenadesProvide technical support for NSWC Crane small arms ammunition projects, including development of a Design Verification Test plan, Hazard Classification plans, Surface Danger Zones development plans, and preparation of project cost estimatesProvide technical support for ammunition development and evaluation of safety, reliability, and performanceDevelop ammunition performance specifications and ammunition drawings in ASME Y14.100M and MILSTD-100 engineering standards formatDesign and developed test methods and test equipmentDraft Test and Evaluation Plans, SOPs, Hazard Analyses, Environmental and Performance Test Reports, Hazard Classification and Insensitive Munitions Reports, and Demilitarization / Disposal PlansQualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 year of related experienceKnowledge of Military and/or NSWC Crane operationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills are requiredMust be able to lift up to 60 poundsFamiliarity with military small arms operation, repair and maintenanceInterim secret required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
