Engineer II, Software - Test

Please note: This is a hybrid role (2-3 days in office per week required)The Engineer Test II, Software is a developing professional who participates in creating and extending Omnicell products. This individual is a quality focused test Engineer who can apply industry and corporate best practices to develop applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in Healthcare or a related industry. This team member works as part of a team to design and ensure quality delivery of new products as well as maintain Omnicell’s current portfolio.ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a team to design, test, deploy, maintain and improve softwareCollaborate with software and quality engineers in all phases of development and testingTests code and product behaviors by creating automated tests at varying layers (component integration, system, performance, UI) and performing manual and exploratory testing across the systemEffectively troubleshoots complex scenarios, isolates and analyzes defects providing detailed steps and conditions for defect reproduction.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on documentation and trainingUnderstand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs and how our suite of products are used across the continuum of careRequired Knowledge And SkillsProgramming experience in one or more object-oriented languages Experience creating automation tests and leveraging test frameworks interfacing with some of the following: RESTful servicesMessage QueuesRelational DatabasesWeb ApplicationsDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal communication skillsKnowledgeable in Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle managementBasic Qualifications2-4 years of relevant software engineering experience Preferred QualificationsBA/BS degreeHealthcare Industry Experience 2+ year of Experience in C# and the .NET Framework1+ years of experience with a microservices architecture1+ years of experience in Angular 4 or above1+ years of public cloud experience1+ year experience healthcare or pharmaceutical experience working with interfaces such as HL7, FHIR.
