We pride ourselves on our dedication to linguistic excellence and client satisfaction.Prisma is actively seeking experienced, professional Court-Certified Interpreters (SPANISH) to join our team as Independent Contractors. In this role you will provide ONSITE Interpreting (OSI) services to the State of New Hampshire Judicial Branch (NHJB).Ideal Candidates shall be able to provide:Experience with consecutive or simultaneous onsite (in person) interpretation between a courts representative and non-English speakersPolite forms of expression, enunciation, and a high-level of customer service.Deliver correct concepts and meanings between speaker and the Limited English Proficient (LEP) speaker.Correct grammar, clarity and tones between Spanish and English .Experience with following the speakers' direction, professionally interject when clarification is needed, and manage the flow of a conversation.Refrain from side conversations with the LEP and entering into any disagreement with the customer or LEPCompliance with applicable ethics and standardsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Court-certified or Court-Registered in the State of New Hampshire - you will be asked to provide your credentials.Agree to undergo annual criminal and state registry background checks:CriminalBureau of Elderly and Adult Services (BEAS)Division for Children, Youth & Families (DCYF)Strong understanding of NHJB procedures, e.g. precise documentation of services provided for each sessionAt least one (1) year of onsite consecutive or simultaneous interpreting experience in a legal/courts settingTwo (2) professional references who can confirm your profession as an onsite consecutive or simultaneous interpreterMinimum age: Must be 18+ years or olderMinimum education: Must have High School DiplomaFull fluency in English and SpanishAble to provide at least one of the following accreditations:American Translation Association (ATA)Trained or accredited through a higher education institutionDESIRED SKILLS:Professional appearance, polite demeanor and punctual.SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must undergo annual criminal and state registry background checks.
