From entry-level helpers to lead technicians, every role plays a part in building reliable communication systems.________________________________________What You ll DoHelper / Level I (0 2 years):Pull, route, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cableInstall support structures like J-hooks, bridle rings, and cable trayAssist with basic terminations and device installationFollow direction from lead techs and learn industry standardsLevel II Technicians (2 4 years):Perform terminations on 110/66 blocks, patch panels, and jacksInstall and dress cable in IDF/MDF environmentsRead blueprints and determine cable pathwaysConduct basic to intermediate testing and troubleshootingLead small crews on focused scopes of workLevel III / Lead Technicians (5+ years):Lead crews on large-scale structured cabling projectsPerform advanced copper and fiber testing and certification (Fluke, OTDR)Handle rack and stack, system layout, and project planningInterpret prints, manage materials, and oversee quality controlAssist with site surveys, as-builts, and project documentation________________________________________Qualifications Who You AreExperience in commercial structured cabling (level dependent)Familiar with TIA/EIA standards and installation best practicesAbility to pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot cabling systems (based on level)Comfortable working in active commercial construction environmentsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamBICSI certification is a plus (Installer/Technician)OSHA 10/19 preferred________________________________________Why TradeSTARWe connect you with real opportunities to build a long-term career in low voltage.Clear career path: Helper ?
