Job DescriptionMedical Coding/Billing Specialist Fairfax, VA MUST:Experienced Medical Billing/Coding Specialist3+ years experience properly coding: services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments3+ years submitting electronic and paper claims to major insurance companies, including Medicaid to collect medical payments3+ years experience posting insurance payments through batches from bank and online3+ years Maintaining current accounts through aged revenue reporting3+ years experience tracking PaymentsCommunicate with insurance providers to resolve resubmitted and denied claimsCollect payments and apply to patient accountsPost payments and collections on a regular basisReview billing problems, research issues and resolve concernsPediatrics background a PLUSCertifications: CBCS, CCA, CMC, CPB (Preferred)Education: BA or MSDUTIES:Keeping up to date with changes in coding and diagnostic proceduresSupports additional coding, billing, and practice management projects as neededDeliver timely and accurate charge submissionsAnswer patient calls regarding billing inquiriesAssist patients by determining financial assistance available and setting up payment plansCreate and double check charges before submitting to insurance to make sure visits have been coded correctlyResearch and follow up on denied insurance claimsCompany DescriptionSpecializing in Legal, Administrative and Information Technology.Rapid Response.
