Hamawy for NJ: Field DirectorHamawy for NJ is hiring a Field Director to oversee an aggressive field program in a highly contested Democratic primary for an open US House seat.As Field Director, your role will be to help craft and oversee a comprehensive field plan to connect with voters across New Jersey's 12th district and ensure regular engagement and communication to all volunteers and supporters. This position reports to the Campaign Manager and Deputy Campaign Manager.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGBuilding a robust voter-contact program;Work closely with field strategy consultantsWorking in varied and diverse communitiesParticipating in the universe creation processManaging a team of field organizers and field leads to implement the voter outreach plan;Supervising field staff and volunteer leaders as they make work plans and set goals that fit within the campaign's strategy, developing accountability systems;Assisting in operations at campaign headquarters;Identifying, recruiting and training volunteer leaders;Hosting regular organizing meetings with volunteers and field staff;Running phone and text banks;Leading canvasses and building relationships with community leadersEntering data, as needed;Providing regular reports to the team on field progressWORK ENVIRONMENTThis is a full-time, in-person position in New Jersey that will end when the primary campaign concludes in June 2026, with the possibility of extension to November 2026. Campaign hours are expected of any successful candidate.COMPENSATIONThis is a salaried position that will be compensated between per month, based on experience.RequirementsWE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHOHas a desire to learn and a willingness to receive feedback;Willing to work long hours (including nights and weekends) when necessary and deeply committed to the missionBelieves in volunteer leadership, as volunteers will be at the center of our campaign;Aligns with the campaign's progressive valuesMeets deadline, works well with a variety of personalities and skill levels, and an effective multi-taskerQUALIFICATIONSExperience managing a field program;Experience volunteering or working on a political campaign;Strong knowledge of NGP VAN / VoteBuilder.IDEAL QUALITIESExperience managing a US House race field program or paid canvassing program;Experience hiring and managing a team of full-time and part-time staff;Personal ties to NJ-12 or New Jersey.
