Job Title: Senior Java Developer Location: Raleigh, NC 27604 / Atlanta, GA 30303 / Charlotte, NC 28202 (Hybrid) Duration: 06+ Months Interview Process (Is face to face required): Yes (2nd round) Job Details: Minimum years of experience required: 6 Certification needed: No (AWS is preferred though) Must Have Skills: Java, Spring boot, Kafka Nice to Have Skills: AWS, MQ Detailed Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Java & Spring Boot Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance microservices and APIs. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and modern distributed architectures, along with excellent communication skills for working in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot • Build and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services using Kafka • Ensure application scalability, performance, and security • Integrate applications with cloud platforms (AWS) and messaging systems (MQ/Kafka) • Participate in system design, code reviews, and architecture discussions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, QA, and DevOps • Follow best practices in SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience in Core Java and Spring Boot • Experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development • Proficiency in Apache Kafka / messaging systems • Good understanding of API design, security, and integration patterns • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills Preferred Skills • Experience with AWS services • Knowledge of MQ • Exposure to Banking / Financial Services domain • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
