NICU Registered Nurse - Bessemer, AL

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on a contract basis. As part of a dedicated team caring for neonates, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in a dynamic environment with a 32-bed capacity. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, using advanced equipment and the Cerner EMR system to support optimal patient outcomes. Schedule and Hours:3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Nights), 18:45 - 07:1536 hours guaranteed weeklyEvery other weekend requiredNo on-call time Qualifications and Experience:Current, unrestricted RN licenseMinimum of 2 years' experience in an acute NICU settingCurrent BLS and NRP certificationsComfortable floating within appropriate scope of practice, including to nearby facilities within 25 miles as neededExperience with Cerner EMR (preferred)Comfortable working in a 3:1 patient ratioStrong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to the fast-paced and sensitive NICU environment Role Responsibilities:Provide direct, family-centered care to neonates requiring intensive monitoring and interventionMonitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate NICU-specific equipmentWork collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other unit staffAdhere to facility protocols, medication safety standards, and documentation best practicesFloat to other units within licensure and expertise when required Additional Details:Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; only natural nails, no gel, acrylic, or embellished nails permittedWork with multidisciplinary professionals committed to the care of vulnerable infantsGain experience in a respected, modern NICU environment If you are a dedicated NICU RN ready to make a difference in neonatal care, submit your application today for immediate consideration.
