Imaging/PC Configurations - 1st Shift

Job Description: Imaging and Configuration Specialist Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Imaging and Configuration Specialist to join our team. This role involves the imaging and configuration of computers, executing OS upgrades, and performing UV printing, etching, or skinning of devices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective decision-making, and logical troubleshooting abilities. Key Responsibilities: Imaging and Configuration: Perform imaging and configuration of computers, including installing operating systems (OS) and applying upgrades (Windows 10, 7, 8, 8.1). Device Customization: Execute UV printing, etching, and skinning of devices to meet branding and functional specifications. Asset Tagging: Ensure all devices are properly asset tagged for inventory tracking and management. Technical Support: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues; run diagnostics and resolve technical problems efficiently. BIOS Configuration: Configure BIOS settings and motherboard parameters to optimize system performance. Backup and Deployment: Utilize imaging tools such as Acronis, Ghost, and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) for backing up and deploying images to various PCs and laptops. Documentation: Read and interpret technical manuals, bill of materials, and create documentation for processes and procedures. Collaboration: Work closely with team members and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding technical issues and project progress. Physical Tasks: Lift and move devices weighing up to 50 lbs as needed for installations and configurations. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus. Experience: Proven experience in PC configuration and imaging, including familiarity with Windows operating systems. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of PC hardware and architecture; experience with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook) and other MS products (Oracle, Visio). Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Problem Solving: Strong decision-making and logical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfort with working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing needs.
