CNC Programmer

`*Job description* *JOB OBJECTIVE:* To operate a variety of machinery equipment in a safe and productive manner. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist that can run a Mazak Lathe and a horizontal mill with a Siemens control.The individual must be able to read and understand prints and sketches which contain standard symbols and dimensions. A thorough operating knowledge of listed CNC machinery and their associated tooling. Must be able to touch off tools, set locations, change offsets, and pick tooling for jobs as needed. Must be able to read and understand metrology equipment (ie: Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, etc.). *NON-ESSENTIAL (OTHER) JOB FUNCTIONS:* Experienced in basic welding techniques. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* * EDUCATION – Minimum of G.E.D Certificate * Bi-Lingual a plus but English is required. * EXPERIENCE – Minimum of five years experience machining, both manual and CNC. * LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS – Have attended and completed an apprenticeship program as a machinist (helpful but not mandatory). * TOOL REQUIREMENT – Must have own tools consistent with those needed and used by a machinist.
