This team is responsible for building and supporting high-performing, scalable software applications and cloud infrastructure that directly contribute to USCIS modernization efforts. This is a fully remote position.For 10+ years, our team has been heavily involved in advancing digital transformation efforts at USCIS, where we build cutting-edge innovative solutions that are contributing to the agency's modernization using DevSecOps tools and technologies. Our work is instrumental in helping USCIS streamline immigration processes, improve customer service, and maintain the integrity of the immigration system through state-of-the-art software solutions. Our team embraces an Agile methodology with an emphasis on automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.We are hiring mid-level and senior Cloud Engineers to support this newly awarded contract. The ideal candidate possesses a high degree of initiative, passion for innovation, a solid understanding of software engineering principles, and a willingness to work in a highly collaborative Agile and DevOps culture.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience working in software engineering, cloud engineering, or platform engineering focused rolesStrong understanding of industry standards and best practices for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS cloud environmentsExperience with modern container orchestration systems such as KubernetesStrong understanding of AWS technology offerings and cloud fundamentalsAbility to work within Agile development teams to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in cloud environmentsAbility to work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams to build and configure high-performing, scalable cloud-based infrastructureProven aptitude to create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasksExperience building and configuring CI/CD delivery environments using Agile delivery methodologiesExtensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) solutions using tools like Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and HelmExceptional communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative, "badgeless" team environment consisting of Government clients, Contractors, and StakeholdersAWS certifications are highly desirableBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline preferredU.S. Citizenship required due to client requirementsMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a government clearanceWhile we've outlined our ideal candidate, we recognize that talent comes in many forms.
