Project Manager (Physical Security Integrations)Location: Michigan City, INFull Time / Direct HireSalary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 + BonusBright Minds is searching for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of physical security integration projects for commercial operations and data center implementations. The Project Manager will focus on coordinating personnel, schedules, documentation, and financial controls to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at targeted profitability. This role acts as the operational liaison between clients, technicians, subcontractors, and internal teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.*Background in physical security desired, but strong infrastructure IT or structured cable PMPs with backgrounds in data center design and build outs is also desired.Responsibilities:Lead projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and financial targets are met.Track project performance through WIP reporting, labor costing, and job audits.Coordinate technicians and subcontractors in alignment with customer timelines.Manage drawings, permits, documentation, and construction coordination with other trades, while ensuring timely invoicing and accurate processing of change orders.Conduct on-site QA reviews to develop punch lists, resolve quality issues, and confirm scope completion.Enforce safety protocols, proactively address jobsite risks, halt work when safety standards are not met, and provide input on technician performance and project execution.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, track milestones, and communicate status updates to internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate system programming, testing, and commissioning activities, including integration between access control, video management, and related systems.Support project turnover activities, including closeout documentation, as-built drawings, and client training.Manage material procurement, delivery schedules, and inventory coordination to align with project timelines.Facilitate project meetings with clients, general contractors, and other trades to ensure alignment on scope, sequencing, and site conditions.Identify scope gaps and manage project risks, including escalation of issues that may impact schedule, cost, or quality.Support estimating or preconstruction efforts as needed by reviewing project scope, drawings, and labor requirements.Requirements for the Project Manager (Physical Security Solutions)5+ years of professional project management experience3+ years experience as a PM for physical security systems integration (access control, CCTV, intrusion, building automation, and fire alarm systems)Experience managing projects in active construction environments, including coordination with general contractors and multiple tradesExperience supporting commissioning, testing, and system turnover activitiesAbility to read and coordinate drawings, specifications, and construction documents; BIM knowledge preferredWorking understanding of IP networks, structured cabling, and system integration fundamentalsFamiliarity with state and local building codes, permitting, and inspection processes, including AHJ coordinationExperience managing project financials, including budgets, forecasting, and change order managementProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project or inspection management softwareStrong communication, organization, and leadership skills with the ability to work independentlyExperience supporting projects in data center or mission critical environments preferredFor immediate consideration, please send updated MS Word resume to: jpearce@hirebrightminds.com
