Locksmith Apprentice

We are looking for an apprentice locksmith technician to join our team. Applicant needs the correct highschool class background (recent graduates please send your transcript to show that) and or related locksmith experience at another shop. The applicant needs to have and to desire to learn customer service skills, salesmanship, integrity, intelligence, initiative and technical abilities. The applicant must desire to learn new skills, products and certifications. The applicant must be able to read, type, text and enter data accurately. Applicant must be teachable and coachable as we will work with you in the areas above that need improvement. Must have a driver's license and be able to pass state and federal background checks. Must be able to pass a drug test. This opening is for a three day weekend shift of Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8a-9pm. No exception, you must be able to consistently work this shift without issue. The job entails answering phones, discussing customers' needs, quoting, scheduling customers, inventory, shop work, arriving on-site to solve the customers' technical problems. This is a combination of shop, office and field work to learn everything. The position comes with lots of support, hands on training, books, manuals, videos, in person classes and a fully equipped van to drive. Pay is going to start at $15-16 per hour because there is a lot you need to learn to be successful. It takes time and experience to become proficient within our trade - there is no way around this. We will continue to give you $.50/hr raises every six months if you can keep up with the training and skill requirements for jobs. But there is plenty of room to grow and receive raises up to $25 per hour over time as you master the skills and abilities we need from you to be successful.
