Requirements of Cook:
Preparation of meals with recipes provided, appropriate portioning, temperature log checks, food modification according to dietary orders (regular diet, mechanical soft diet, or pureed diet), knowledge of food adaptation (eg. thickening food and liquids), putting away truck supply orders
Must be comfortable with 1:1 interaction with the geriatric population include complaint resolutions
Must have ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements and follow written and oral instructions.
Cook experience preferred but not required. A willingness to learn is needed.
Weekend availability is required. This may be an ideal part-time position for someone looking only for part-time weekend work
Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members.
