Venteon Finance is currently seeking a CONTROLLER for a long-time manufacturing client in the Dayton, OH area.REQUIREMENTS of the Plant Controller roleBachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum of 5 - 10+ years of manufacturing industry experienceStrong understanding of Standard and Actual CostBudgeting and Forecasting experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skillsERP System experienceRESPONSIBILITIES of the Plant Controller roleOversee the operations of the accounting departmentProduce timely and accurate financial statements and reportsPreparation of local management financial reportingAnalyze variances from budget and/or forecastAnalyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligationsEstablish and routinely analyze costs of inventoryProvide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiationsMaintain a system of controls over accounting transactionsLead and direct the work of others
