You will conduct exploratory calls and identify opportunities for US school districts to benefit from Clever's free and paid offerings. Your contacts will range from district IT personnel to mid and upper level management at small to mid-size K-12 school districts in the US.A DAY IN THE LIFEManaging the full sales cycle to include understanding customer needs, proposing solutions, negotiating sales, and closing dealsResearching prospective district partners and making outbound calls to generate interest in Clever's product suite (IDM, MFA, Training Services and Premium Support Services)Working collaboratively with the District Partnership team to create compelling outbound sales campaigns and track accordingly in CRMMaintaining our district partner prospect database, capturing call notesFollow-up with all inbound leads including conferences and events to qualify the type of district opportunity and manage the life-cycle from lead to qualified opportunityUsing resources such as district websites, Starbridge and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to keep Salesforce account contact details up-to-dateWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMinimum 3+ years of sales experience in a closing roleStrong customer-facing skillsImpeccable pipeline accuracy, data hygiene and forecasting capabilities Ability to successfully establish rapport with contactsExcellent communication skills, both written and oralAbility to work solo as well as being a productive team member partnering with Clever Cross-functional stakeholders including district partnerships, marketing and sales engineersAbility to break down complex concepts into simple explanationsDesire and strong willingness to make outbound cold callsAbility to learn quicklyGrowth mindset, flexibility and strong organizational skillsPassion for EdTechKnowledge of Salesforce.com and outreach software (Gong Engage) are a plusWillingness to travel in territory, to conferences and company functions (at peak times, 30-50%)Location: Must reside in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or New YorkCLEVER BENEFITS AND PERKSA competitive salaryFlexible Paid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveTop-notch healthcare, vision, and dental coverage for you and your familyBest-in-class mental healthcare service that supports employees' mental and emotional wellnessA generous personal development yearly budget which can be used for courses, conferences, trainings, books, and moreA comprehensive Learning & Development program that enables employees to enhance their skills, knowledge, and functional expertiseAnnual company and team events to connect with fun, bright coworkersSALARY TRANSPARENCYThe range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $94,000 - $110,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $103,000 - $121,000. This position also offers a target, variable, or annual bonus incentive.
