Responsible for the quality of our castings by performing chipping and grinding on all types of castings to remove any irregularities or imperfections to meet customer specifications.What You'll Get$1,000 Sign on bonus!!Eligible to earn monthly Profit SharingCompetitive wages401(k) retirement plan with an excellent Employer MatchExcellent health care, dental and vision plans starting day 1!Company-paid Life, AD&D, and disability benefitsEligible for Paid Time off after 90 days of employment, based off of hire dateOpportunities for growth and advancementWhat You'll DoRead and understand blueprints and spec sheetsPerform chipping and grinding of molds to customer specifications: remove any excess iron, clean grooves inside molds, patch damaged sections, grind out excess, finish grind, chipping workMaintain all tools including chisels, hoses, guns, grinding wheels and return to proper storage.Sand blast molds, clean and perform minor repair.May be cross trained on rotary planer.Keep work area clean and clutter free.Must adhere to all housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment.What You'll NeedHigh School Diploma or GEDAble to perform work of a semi-repetitive nature using 7 to 8 lb. chipping guns.Able to read drawingsAble to withstand prolonged periods of standing and bending and heavy lifting.Must be able to pass physical requirementsMust be willing to work flexible hours and mandatory overtimeAbility to train and receive certification on CraneAbility to withstand extreme temperaturesAbility to lift 30 60 poundsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing or foundry environmentAbility to read blueprints, customer specification sheets, and tape measuresCertified with operating mobile equipment or overhead craneSkills and AbilitiesAbility to work safeGood math skillsAbility to learn to run crane and mobile equipment if necessaryGood attendance history and able to show up to work on timeRequired to stand throughout an 8-hour shiftWorking ConditionsWorker is subject to an environment not controlled for heat or cold. Worker is often subject to greases, oils, dirt, dust, cold and heat throughout the workday.
