Drafter Designer - 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:• Job Title: Drafter Designer• Pay Rate Range: $27.00-$31.00/hr• Location: Andover, MN (In Person Job Only)• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM• Position Type: Temp to HireRequirements and Qualifications:Education and Experience:1. Candidates must have completed four years of high school or obtained a GED.2. At least 1-3 years of related experience is required.3. Proficiency in SolidWorks is expected.4. Experience with DriveWorks is helpful.5. Experience in or familiar with one or more of the following industries is advantageous:sheet metal fabrication, architectural millwork, construction, and general contracting.Software Experience:6. SolidWorks, DriveWorks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel.Communication Skills:7. Candidates must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, and procedure manuals.8. Effective and professional communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers is required.Mathematical Skills:9. Candidates must be able to utilize basic math skills to calculate optimum material weights and the like.10. Understanding and applying basic algebra and geometry concepts is necessary.Reasoning Ability:11. Candidates must possess the ability to solve practical problems and manage various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.12. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, and drawing forms.Other Qualifications:13. This position requires the ability to remain focused and composed under pressure.14. Candidates must maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Collaborate with the sales and production departments to develop and maintain drawings, designs, and details.2. Act as an internal partner to production personnel while upholding a high level of professionalism.3. Ensure that drawings sent to customers align with the job quote and the customer's design intent, as well as comply with all relevant codes.4. Review and confirm that redlines received from clients fall within the company's capabilities and project budget.5.
