Automotive Service Advisor

Job description: Kenny Kent Toyota Lexus is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our service department. As the primary link between our customers and technicians, you'll play a vital role in ensuring each guest receives exceptional service while their vehicle is maintained or repaired. If you have a background in automotive service writing, customer communication, and repair order management, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with a respected dealership. Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities:Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately write repair orders. Communicate recommended services, costs, and timelines in a clear and professional manner. Work closely with technicians to ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed correctly and on time. Provide ongoing updates to customers regarding vehicle status and any additional repair needs. Process warranty claims, payments, and ensure all documentation is complete in the Dealer Management System (DMS)Uphold dealership standards for customer service, accuracy, and productivity. Automotive Service Advisor Qualifications:1 - 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or related role (dealership experience preferred). Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships. Knowledge of automotive repair, maintenance, and service department operationsComputer proficiency with DMS software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar). Professional, reliable, and team-oriented work ethic. Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
