Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks accounting software.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data across multiple accounts.
Record journal entries, handle accounts payable and receivable, and process payroll with attention to detail.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting tasks, including compliance reporting and audit preparation.
Support budgeting processes by analyzing account activity and preparing financial reports.
Ensure all transactions are accurately classified using double entry bookkeeping principles, maintaining the integrity of the financial records.
Skills
Extensive experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices, including GAAP standards and governmental accounting where applicable.
Proficiency in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
Experience with payroll processing, tax preparation, and accounts payable/receivable management.
Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 15.0 per week
