CoordinatorExtended School Year 2026JOB GOAL: The Coordinator for the Extended School Year is responsible for the overall coordination, management and implementation of the ESY program. In collaboration with the Executive Director of Student Support Services, the Coordinator will plan for and assign student case loads to staff as well as oversee the program.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or above.Strong organizational, administrative and managerial skills.A minimum of three years experience in special education teaching.Demonstrated commitment to, and experience in, team building across organizational lines.Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate orally and in writing to diverse audiences.Ability to effectively manage challenging student behaviorsAbility to demonstrate excellent communication with parents, staff and coworkersAbility to be flexible, take initiative and be open to feedbackAbility to effectively collaborate with all ESY program staff membersKnowledge of safety principles and practices as they apply to group activitiesExperience with direct interaction with students in teaching, care-giving or service delivery.Experience working directly with diverse populationsESSENTIAL DUTIES:Plan, supervise and implement the ESY programManage student enrollment process including outreach to middle schoolsSupervise all ESY staffRecord staff hours, keeping accurate documentation of hours worked and absences.Ensure integration of instructors in program planning.Maintain a safe learning environment and take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.Effective and regular communication with the Executive Director of Student Support Services about all aspects of summer program.Provide ongoing communication with parents, school staff, administration and partnering agencies.Dates and Position Hours:Planning & Setting up Program: 20 hoursIn-Service Date: June (TBD), 1-2 daysProgram Dates: June 29, 2026 - July 31, 2026Program Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Monday - ThursdayPosition Type: Seasonal, Part-TimeCompensation: $50.00/hour
