Trade Operations Intern

Founded in 2020, Simplify Asset Management Inc. is an ETF provider specializing in innovative ETF strategies and derivatives-based portfolio solutions designed to meet the needs of their clients in an increasingly challenging market environment. With over $13 billion AUM across 40+ ETFs, Simplify is looking for a self-driven and results-oriented individual to join our operations team. This role offers direct, hands-on exposure to ETF mechanics, derivatives (swaps, futures, options), and institutional counterparty operations within a fast-paced trading environment.What You’ll Do:• Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle across equities, fixed income, and derivatives • Perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash, and margin across custodians and counterparties, and resolve breaks • Assist with margin and collateral management for OTC derivatives and financing transactions • Build and enhance Excel-based tools and contribute to process improvements across trading and operations workflows Who You Are:• Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership • Inquisitive problem solver with a focus on improving processes and workflows • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, autonomous environment • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple prioritiesWhat You Have:• Currently enrolled in a Master of Finance, Master of Accounting, or MBA program• An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of two years of full-time professional experience required (prior experience in finance, operations, or related fields strongly preferred)• Highly proficient in Excel, including building and maintaining reporting tools and working with large datasets • Experience working with financial data, custodial platforms, or trading systems is a plus• CFA and/or CPA designation or progress/interest towards obtaining designation• Experience with market data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Ycharts, and Morningstar• Ability to work during U.S. market hours • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat You’ll Get:• Meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to live trading and operational processes from day one • Mentorship from Simplify’s experienced operations team• Opportunity to join the firm full-time upon successful completion of internship programSimplify Asset Management Inc. is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating an environment where all employees can thrive.
