As a Travel CLS, you will perform vital laboratory procedures that support accurate diagnosis and patient treatment, impacting lives across diverse healthcare settings. What You Bring to the Table: Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from recognized organizations such as ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS. Valid Louisiana State Licensure. Bachelors Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or equivalent experience meeting CLIA regulations. Ability to perform both routine and complex laboratory procedures accurately. Excellent instrumentation operation, troubleshooting, and quality control skills. Strong attention to detail, documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards. Flexibility to operate in multiple laboratory sections and adapt to changing assignments. Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Phlebotomy or patient-oriented skills. Prior experience in microbiology, chemistry, hematology, or immunology. Familiarity with developing and implementing testing protocols. Preferred Education and Experience: Graduates of accredited clinical laboratory training programs or those with equivalent military or international laboratory training. Up to one year of approved clinical laboratory experience, including rotations in specified laboratory sections. Board certification or eligibility, with commitment to certification within one year of hire (excluding Louisiana-based candidates). Other Requirements: Flexibility to work a 7-on/7-off schedule, Wednesday to Tuesday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with possible schedule changes. Willingness to travel and adapt to various healthcare environments. No on-call responsibilities required.
