The Best Players Need the Best People.The Network Graphics Associate assists in the analysis and presentation of ShotLink data for use on-air and in print. This position is part of the Production Technology & Analytics team where the focus is to enhance live production of PGA TOUR events including linear telecasts (GOLF/NBC Sports & CBS Sports) as well as digital / streaming platforms (PGA TOUR Live on ESPN+) through integration of technology, data, and analytics from ShotLink.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in communications, television/film production, marketing, management, or related area required.Remote television production experience within sports; golf experience is a plus.Working knowledge of Graphics Systems used for live television production.Advanced level computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, statistical databases, HTML and other internet display languages.Strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs to mine golf stats data.Strong communication skillsCreative skills to process complex data and present in compelling, simple graphics and summaries; natural curiosity to delve deeply into data to mine out most interesting aspects.Schedule must allow extensive travel including weekends and holidays. Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts. Responsibilities/DutiesDevelop and maintain a working relationship with production teams for both Digital / Streaming (ESPN+) and Network partners (GOLF/NBC Sports & CBS Sports).Assist all broadcast partners (production & network talent) in their ongoing efforts to effectively communicate ShotLink data and information in their telecasts. Also, work with each network to develop individual style.As the subject matter expert, train freelance graphics coordinators and operators on the use of various Broadcast Production tools.Create new and innovative graphic concepts for the presentation of ShotLink. Onsite primary point of contact for ShotLink as it relates to broadcast operations.Maintain a regular schedule for ShotLink analysis (nuggets), analyze PGA TOUR courses / holes, surface player trends and complement season-long programs (i.e., The FedExCup) through analytics.Develop and coordinate the production of ShotLink analytical packages at various points throughout the year.Special projects or other duties as assigned.
