Mechanical Designer
Position: Mechanical Designer (Creo)Location: Valley Green, PAAmphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design,sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking aMechanical Designer (Creo) to join our team. The position will be located inValley Green, PA.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with product development engineers to create high speedconnector product CAD models as per their input and feedbackEmploy best modeling practices and advanced feature techniques to capturedesign intent, and to facilitate design changes and data reuse (expanding designconcepts into product families and derivatives)Create and maintain internal and customer CAD drawings of components andassembliesParticipate in design reviews, interface with Development, Mechanical andSignal Integrity, and Process EngineersQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering, CAD, or a related field3-4 years Creo Parametric experience. Proficiency in Creo Parametric Release4, 5, 6, 7, or 8High level of Creo Parametric modeling and assembly design skills,specifically:Advanced part and assembly featuresReference geometry and shared dataFeature patterns and copiesSurfacing, quilt operationsTop-down design techniquesFamily tablesDetailing, dimensional and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)Familiarity with industry standard drafting and detailing practices (ANSI,ASME)Knowledge of manufacturing technologies (stamping, molding, plating) a plusKnowledge of Windchill PDMLink 11 or 12 a plusKnowledge of Windows 10 operating system and standard MS Office applicationsDemonstrated attention to detail, thoroughness in work, and ability to meetdeadlinesAbility to work in a dynamic team environment, with minimum supervisionAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
