CMC Partners are currently partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee operations across the Sacramento region. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a well-established organization delivering large-scale public works and infrastructure projects.They operate across a broad project portfolio ranging from smaller civil works through to major infrastructure schemes in the $100M–$250M+ range.The RoleAs Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects, providing strategic oversight and ensuring successful delivery across Water Treatment, Wastewater and civil infrastructure works. You will play a key role in driving performance, developing teams, and maintaining strong client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a portfolio of heavy civil construction projects across the regionOversee Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure successful executionDrive project delivery in line with schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectationsMaintain and strengthen relationships with public agencies and key stakeholdersEnsure compliance with public works contracts, regulations, and reporting requirementsSupport resource planning, forecasting, and operational strategyPromote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindsetRequirementsExtensive experience in heavy civil construction, ideally in a senior leadership roleStrong background delivering public works projects (DOT, municipal, or state-funded)Proven experience within Water Treatment or Wastewater projectsTrack record of managing multiple projects and leading large teamsStrong commercial and contractual understandingExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFeatured benefits401(k)Pension planMedical insuranceVision insuranceDental insurancePaid maternity leaveChild care supportPaid paternity leaveCommuter benefits
