Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Experienced OTR CDL A Flatbed Driver and experience the thrill of long-haul trucking across the country! In this role, you will operate a 3500 Dually with a 40' gooseneck flatbed with mega ramps, equipped for hauling freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in handling various types of freight will keep our operations moving smoothly. This position offers the opportunity to showcase your driving skills, navigate diverse routes, and be part of a team committed to excellence and safety. This is a commission position, paying 20% of gross revenue. The schedule is full time OTR, with 2 weeks on, then 2 days off.
Responsibilities
Secure loads properly on flatbed, utilizing tarps, straps, and chains to prevent shifting during transit.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment to maintain optimal safety standards.
Manage route driving efficiently, planning schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency.
Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, and maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations.
Compensation
This is a commission position, paying 20% of gross revenue.
Schedule
Full-time (2 weeks on, 2 days off)
Qualifications
Valid CDL A license with atleast 2 years of driving experience proven experience operating flatbed in an over-the-road (OTR) setting.
TWIC Certification
Hazmat Endorsement (Preferred)
Must have driven 6 months within the last 24 months.
No more than 2 moving violations within the last 5 years
A minimum of 22 years of age
No DWI's or DUI's within the last 10 years and only one allowed.
Prior delivery driver experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route management.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to flatbed hauling and general commercial driving standards.
Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
Physical capability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment (when required); must pass DOT physical requirements.
