Applicants will join a mission-driven environment that values innovation and impact in the relationship-technology space.Role Description This full-time remote Software Engineering Intern role involves collaborating with the engineering team to design, build, and maintain backend services that power CupidAI and related products. Interns will write clean, efficient, and testable code, contribute to APIs and microservices, and help integrate AI-driven features into the overall platform. Day-to-day work includes participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving technical issues, improving performance and reliability, and documenting technical decisions. The intern will also work closely with product and design partners to translate user needs into technical solutions and iterate quickly based on feedback. This role offers mentorship, exposure to modern software development practices, and the opportunity to contribute to production systems in a fast-moving startup environment.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic systems concepts.Experience with Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in at least one language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.Knowledge of Back-End Web Development and Software Development practices, including REST APIs, databases, and version control (e.g., Git).Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Ability to learn quickly, write clear code, and collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), testing frameworks, or AI/ML concepts is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interest in building products that help people connect and build relationships.
