Job description Janitronics Facility Services has an immediate need for an Inventory Control Specialist at a Pharmaceutical Plant. This is an excellent opportunity to enter a High-Tech Environment in the Rensselaer area! The Inventory Control Specialist job requires someone who can pay very close attention to detail to effectively manage his or her employers inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels; the candidate also ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills. Computer experience is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an Inventory Control Specialist Gown into all LSM process areas on a weekly basis (Large Scale Manufacturing) Provide counts of all process area (OPM/Inventory System) raw materials to coordinators in the Commercial Manufacturing Inventory Group for reconciliation of OPM/Physical inventory Organize materials on shelves to ensure material is where it needs to be when it needs to be Perform weekly sweeps for about to expire/expired raw materials Remove excess inventory from Process Areas as needed Maintain material levels in PPE cabinets within the process areas Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present. Works with other teams including sales, shipping, and purchasing. Audits the facilitys entire inventory on a regular basis and provides reports to management. Follows all existing company policies and procedures. Education and Experience An associate degree in Business Management is preferred, but not required. However, candidates who have had at least one to two years of experience in wholesale distribution and are familiar with the products in inventory are also encouraged to apply.
