Commercial Electrician

Talent Source is hiring skilled Commercial Electricians to work with our clients on various commercial and industrial projects. As a Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings. You will work on a range of tasks including wiring, troubleshooting, and ensuring systems meet all electrical codes and standards. This contract-to-hire role offers the opportunity for long-term employment with some of the top companies in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings and facilities. Install electrical components such as lighting systems, switches, and circuit breakers, ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, identifying and performing necessary repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine electrical system layouts. Perform testing and inspections of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety. Adhere to all safety standards and procedures, using proper protective equipment on the job site. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other electricians to complete work according to schedule and specifications. Assist with planning and laying out electrical systems for new installations or renovations. Maintain and organize electrical tools, materials, and equipment. Provide guidance and supervision to electrical apprentices and helpers, as needed. Qualifications: State Certified or ET Card Minimum of 3 years of experience working in commercial electrical systems, including wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Experience with various hand and power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physically capable of performing tasks that involve standing, lifting, and working in various conditions such as confined spaces and at heights. Preferred Qualifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification. Experience in both new construction and renovation projects. Familiarity with low-voltage systems and commercial lighting systems. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated structures. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments, including confined spaces or outdoor sites. Work Environment: Commercial construction sites or large industrial facilities.
