CNC Programmer/Machinist

We are hiring a CNC Programmer to join our team! This person should be familar with Mills, lathes, grinders. Should be very familiar with speeds and feeds and the differences between speeds and feeds when it comes to metals vs plastics. MASTERCAM experience is a MUST-HAVE! A shift 8-4:30 M-F, chance for some OT on Saturdays JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The role of the CNC Programmer/Machinist is to effectively produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) mills, manual grinder and lathe. Tasks and Responsibilities · Interface with Engineering, Quality Control and Production on all mold and tooling requirements · Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints · Strong ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) · Perform and create mill set-ups. · Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software. · Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency. · Plans stock & tooling for running/future work orders.. · Proficient in Mastercam · Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities · Performing mold maintenance · Fabricate required tooling and fixtures Qualifications · Qualified Machinist with 2-5 years experience · Strong math and computer capability · Detail oriented and able to communicate effectively · Able to read 2-D and 3-D designs · General knowledge on how to operate 3-D software · 3 years MasterCam experience · Experience using Solidworks Join our team as a CNC Machinist and contribute your expertise to our manufacturing operations.
