Principal Software Developer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role Contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced development team supporting researchers in prototyping and delivering new systematic investment strategies. Provide high-impact solutions for alpha research, portfolio construction, and risk management. Design and implement high-quality, scalable, robust, resilient and efficient analytical and software solutions. Collaborate with research teams to develop new models and products. Lead implementation of research projects through the entire software development lifecycle.What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience. Expertise in Python with full-stack development experience and exposure to object-oriented programming. Experience with various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Graph) and batch/API technologies (Autosys, Airflow, FastAPI, Flask). Proven ability to construct and manage robust data pipelines and event-driven workflows. Expertise in system design and cloud architecture on AWS, including Lambda, S3, EKS, and EC2. Experience in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines (Linux, Jenkins), and GitHub. Experience operationalizing machine learning models on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock) and applying MLOps principles.
