Lab Technician /Chemical

Job Location: 18930 W 78th Street, Chanhassen, MN 55317Position Type: 6 Months contract with possible extension Pay Rate $30/hr on w2 with benefits Education:Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (chemist, physic, engineer)Qualifications:1-3 year of demonstrated laboratory experienceComputer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and powerpoint.Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.Responsibilities:Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:Perform mechanical/electrical/thermal properties testing of thermal interface materials and coatingEvaluate, collect, and record data.Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook/ppt.Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
