Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to lead our banquet and event services team. The Banquet Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all banquet and private events at Butterfield Country Club. This hands-on leadership role oversees banquet staff, ensures room setups and service standards aligned with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and guarantees an exceptional experience for members and guests. The Banquet Manager serves as the key liaison between the host, service team, culinary team, and vendors, maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring each event reflects the Club’s standards of excellence
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact during event execution for members and sponsored non-members.
Maintain a consistent, visible presence during all events to support staff and assist guests.
Lead pre-shift meetings to review timelines, service assignments, and special requests.
Supervise banquet staff throughout each event to maintain a polished, guest-focused atmosphere.
Ensure room setups, timelines, and service standards meet BEO specifications and Club expectations.
Communicate proactively with hosts, culinary teams, and vendors regarding changes or updates.
Collaborate with the Houseman and set up teams to ensure diagrams are executed accurately.
Oversee post-event breakdown, ensuring all spaces are cleaned, organized, and reset properly.
Train, schedule, and supervise banquet staff to ensure proper coverage and top-tier service.
Monitor team performance, attendance, punctuality, and appearance; provide ongoing coaching and corrective feedback as needed.
Conduct performance reviews and assist in disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources.
Foster a positive and professional work culture grounded in accountability and teamwork.
Adjust staffing levels and assignments based on event requirements and budget considerations.
Collaborate with all departments to continuously enhance banquet operations and guest satisfaction.
Assist in other assignments not included in Duties & Responsibilities as directed by management to support overall Club operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of Banquet or Event management experience; private club or upscale hospitality experience strongly preferred.
BASSET and Food Handler certifications required (Club may provide course if needed).
Strong leadership and team management skills in a fast-paced service environment.
Thorough operational knowledge of banquet setups, timelines, and service flow.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with event management or POS systems (Club Essentials preferred).
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions are required.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required for event setup and breakdown.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
