Child Care Nutrition Monitoring Specialist
DescriptionThis position will conduct in-home or in-center monitoring visits for childcare providers and childcare centers. All monitoring forms will need to be submitted to central office.Responsibilities:Traveling within an assigned area throughout WashingtonEnroll new providersCarry out timely 30-day training visitsMaintain phone contact and written letters to prospective providers and centersMonitor participating provider homes as well as childcare centers as requested by managerDetermine the quantity and quality of meals servedDetermine if meals served are eligible and served under sanitary conditionsInspect and evaluate all pertinent attendance records, menus, and meal countsGive required assistance to providers and centersDetermine appropriate corrective actions and follow-upProvide a completed monitor report to Program ManagerStaff with Program Manager observations which may be out of compliance with license regulationsParticipate in regular supervision, according to agency policyTravel could be up to 75% of the jobPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsJob Requirements:The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
