Electrical Assembler

Electrical AssemblerThe purpose of the Electrical Assembler is to safely and efficiently assemble, work with, troubleshoot, and interconnect electrical components, electrical wiring, wiring components, and electrical circuits while using wiring diagrams, electrical knowledge, and available resources.Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:Produce quality products in a timely fashion as instructed from shop order packets, drawings, and verbal instructionsProperly document work and job time using process as specified by appropriate lead personNotify supervisor of any material, tool, or equipment malfunctions or issues, missing or defective parts, or of any unsafe conditionsWire and configure electrical control panels per job orderPerform testing of completed panelsTroubleshoot malfunctions and take any corrective actionsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements for this role include:Minimum of two (2) years of electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentMinimum education of a high school diploma or its equivalent; vocational (or higher) education in electrical or a related field and/or journeyman license preferred; a combination of education and experience can be consideredUnderstanding of the manufacturing industry is essentialMust be proficient in reading blue printsMust have a working knowledge of programmable controllers and wiring control panels, motors, transformers, and relaysMust have experience and be proficient in reading and working from bills of materials, layouts, sketches, and schematics and wiring diagramsMust have experience making up wire harnesses, communication cables, power distribution cables, and then splicing pieces as requiredMust be able to perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials, and principles of operations of electrical equipmentWork environment includes:Walking / OccasionalStanding / FrequentSitting / OccasionalTwisting, turning, and Squatting / OccasionalClimbing / Occasional (stepladder)Pulling/Pushing / Up to 150 lbs. (using pallet jack)Lifting / Up to 50 lbs.
