The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Spring Lake that are seeking skilled Packaging Engineers. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and qualify packaging solutions for new and existing products. * Select appropriate packaging materials and technologies to meet product protection, cost, and sustainability goals. * Conduct packaging performance testing and validation for new and modified designs. * Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams on packaging integration. * Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements in packaging processes and materials. * Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications. * Provide technical support and troubleshooting for packaging-related issues on the production floor. Recommended Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. * 3-5 years of experience in packaging development, design, or engineering within a manufacturing environment. * Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and specification. * Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated, glass, metal) and their manufacturing processes. * Demonstrated understanding of packaging testing methods (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO). * Experience in optimizing packaging for cost, sustainability, manufacturing efficiency, and product protection.
