You will work as part of a team that serves 7,500 students at 14 campuses across Helena. Starting salary is $61,632-$70,833 based experience for a school year of 187 days.Some of what you will do:Serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.Provide a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice and language impairments.Provide screening to identify speech disability children at regular intervals and at specified levels.Assist in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and/or specialists in the community.Provide appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students' needs and correct existing speech and language impairments.Who we are looking for:To become part of this dedicated team, you have a Montana Speech Language Pathologist license at the time of employment.The ideal candidate will possess a SLP certification (i.e., Certification of Clinical Competency for Speech Pathology) from an accredited institute.Successful candidates are regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
