Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an FSED Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.This core role provides professional nursing care within a Free-Standing Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The RN works collaboratively with the entire healthcare team to deliver quality, high-acuity care, exercising independent judgment to achieve the best possible patient outcomes within a dynamic, service-oriented environment.Job ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze comprehensive patient data to determine the diagnosis or primary issues upon presentation to the FSEDDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, prescribing strategies to attain expected outcomes and support patient recoveryAttain and maintain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice, integrating research findings into daily careExercise independent judgment in relation to patient care based on clinical knowledge and experience, while working within an interdisciplinary teamSystematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and prevention of large-scale problemsFollow established patient safety guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome that results in patient harmCollaborate with the patient, family, and other healthcare members in a professional and ethical manner, serving as a patient advocatePerforms unit-specific duties and may float to various units based on business needs, demonstrating adaptability and effective relationshipsRequirementsEducationAssociate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution is requiredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferredExperienceMinimum of three (3) years of recent (within the last one year) Acute Care ER RN experience is REQUIREDCertifications/LicensesCurrent Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure is requiredIf a compact license is held, an active FL RN license is required within 90 days of hireAdvanced Nurse Practitioner license is acceptable in lieu of RN license (implied)American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment start dateSkillsProven ability to exercise independent judgment in patient care within an interdisciplinary team settingDemonstrated core competencies in Service, Quality/Ethics/Integrity, Relationship building, and AdaptabilityStrong knowledge of the Florida Nurse Practice Act and relevant professional practice standardsBenefits Competitive pay with opportunities for overtime and weekend shifts.
