Mechanical AssemblerJob Description:The 2nd shift Mechanical Assembly position regularly rotates through different functions and performs all assembly, test, and/or material handling functions of a single assembly line within a department. In addition, this position may perform a number of functions on other assembly lines within a department. (2nd shift 2:40pm - 12:40am - Monday - Thursday).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Activities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:Takes the initiative to get work assignment from Supervisor, Lead person or scheduling toolsAs assignment is obtained, gathers all necessary material and documentation to perform the task. This includes identifying the correct revision / date of documents and, if necessary, takes appropriate action to correctFollows work instructions, prints, and/or available procedures and performs assembly, test, and material handling operations required to make a part or final product. The highest level of safety and quality standards are followed along with meeting productivity requirementsPromotes and contributes to a team work environmentAdheres to all safety rules and performs required housekeeping dutiesAssists other work areas or departments as neededAssists in cross training othersRotates through all stations of a single assembly line within the assigned department along with multiple other stations within the factory when requiredRequired Skills: Must be able to read and follow assembly prints in assigned Focus FactoryMust be able to safely perform assembly functions using hand, pneumatic and electric torque toolsMust be able to safely load and unload components onto the assembly line or fixtures and use hand trucks to move componentsProficient in the English LanguageBasic math skills / ability to do this jobBasic blueprint reading skills/ability to do this job - including weld symbolsProficiency in using basic gauges and measuring instrumentsManual dexterityPhysical ability to do the jobDemonstrated acceptable performance in each of the following areas as they relate to the activities listed above: SafetyQualityProductivityAttitude / TeamworkWhy Wacker Neuson?Build your career with a leading global manufacturer of high quality construction equipment and compact construction machines.
