Senior SQL Server Database Administrator

A leading technology company, known for its significant contributions to national security and digital transformation, is seeking a talented professional to join their team.The Role Lead SQL migration from on-premises to AWS and Azure environments. Design, install, configure, maintain, and tune enterprise SQL database systems across on-premises and cloud platforms. Ensure security, availability, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical SQL Server databases. Drive database architecture and capacity planning, automate workflows, and enforce security practices. Mentor other DBAs on AWS and Azure Cloud best practices. Oversee and lead cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift and re-platforming efforts.What You'll Need Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration (or 4 years experience in lieu of degree). Expertise in migrating SQL Always-on and SQL Cluster to AWS and Azure Cloud (IaaS and PaaS). Strong hands-on experience managing large, high-availability SQL environments both on-premises and in AWS/Azure Cloud. Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, analyze execution plans, and optimize database performance. Experience implementing database security solutions (TDE, SSL/TLS) and managing accounts/permissions.
