AWS Redshift DBAType: 12 month contract to startLocation: Chicago, ILSchedule: Hybrid, 2 days onsite workSeeking for an AWS Redshift DBA who will help with our data warehouse workload migration into AWS Redshift. This individual will have extensive, hands-on experience with database administration along with query tuning.ResponsibilitiesExperience: 8 to 10 years as a DBA that include database & query performance tuningMust have excellent Redshift experience along with DBA knowledgeOptimizing and tuning the Redshift environment including cluster, database & SQL queriesGood knowledge of analyzing explain plan and tune workloads to improve runtimeGood knowledge of workload management within Redshift along with queue managementExcellent understanding of the AWS architecture (RDS, S3)Redshift and Aurora cluster & database administration supportKnowledge of data replication, data sharing & data modeling including logical and physical data sourceHands on experience with Python scripting & automationKnowledge of ADFS and user access managementKnowledge of setting up cloud monitoring and alert metrics managementGood to have Apache Airflow experienceExcellent communications and a team playerGood to have - AWS Certified Solution ArchitectExperience• Database administration: 8 years• Performance tuning: 5 years• AWS Redshift & RDS Experience: 2-3 years• Python: 1 year• Scripting: 1 yearEducation: Bachelor's degree requiredRequired SkillsMUST already be in Chicago, Illinois.
