Automotive Body Painter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Painter to join our team in delivering high-quality vehicle refinishing and restoration services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, painting, and vehicle detailing, with experience working in dealership settings or auto restoration shops. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying finishes with precision, and ensuring a flawless appearance that meets customer expectations. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. A commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, buffing, and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless spray equipment and other painting tools Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the painting process Perform auto body repairs including welding, dent removal, and panel replacement as necessary Conduct vehicle inspections to identify repair needs and ensure quality standards are met Maintain a clean and organized work environment for safety and efficiency Assist with auto glass installation, detailing, and other related services to enhance vehicle appearance Collaborate with team members on vehicle restoration projects to meet deadlines and quality expectations Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing client concerns when required Experience Prior dealership experience or auto body repair shop background preferred Hands-on experience with auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying and buffing Knowledge of auto body repair procedures including welding, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance Familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for auto body work Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems is advantageous Experience working with auto glass installation or detailing is beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various repair tasks Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are valued.
