We are united by a common mission: to deliver services and technology that fundamentally change how skilled workers and the businesses they serve get hard work done.Job DescriptionThe Compressor Station Operator II is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of natural gas compression facilities and associated equipment. This role monitors compressor station performance, performs routine inspections, supports maintenance activities, and assists with troubleshooting efforts to maximize equipment uptime and operational reliability.The ideal candidate will have experience with gas compression systems, rotating equipment, and production facilities. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a field-based operating environment.ResponsibilitiesOperations & MonitoringOperate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and associated facility equipment.Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal pressure, flow rates, and system efficiency.Conduct routine inspections of compressors, engines, vessels, piping, and support equipment.Monitor equipment performance and operating conditions through field inspections and control systems.Record operating data, equipment readings, and performance metrics.Identify abnormal operating conditions and respond appropriately to maintain safe and reliable operations.Support production and facility optimization efforts through continuous equipment monitoring.Maintenance & TroubleshootingPerform minor maintenance activities on compressors, engines, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs, shutdowns, and startup activities.Troubleshoot mechanical, process, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control system issues.Identify equipment deficiencies and communicate maintenance requirements to appropriate personnel.Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.Maintain station cleanliness and housekeeping standards.Safety & ComplianceFollow all safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and hazard identification activities.Support compliance with environmental, operational, and regulatory requirements.Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Report safety concerns, incidents, near misses, and operational deviations promptly.Maintain awareness of emergency response procedures and station safety systems.Reporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate operating logs and shift reports.Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, and corrective actions.Utilize digital reporting systems and operational software for data entry and recordkeeping.Communicate operational status and equipment concerns to supervisors and team members.Provide detailed shift turnover information to ensure continuity of operations.Skills And QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Technical, vocational, or trade school training preferred.Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in gas compression, oil and gas operations, production operations, or industrial maintenance.Experience working with compressors, engines, rotating equipment, and process systems.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, and facility operations.Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.Familiarity with HMI systems, SCADA systems, and control room operations is preferred.Strong communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.Basic computer proficiency and experience with digital reporting systems.Preferred QualificationsExperience operating natural gas compressor stations or gas gathering facilities.Knowledge of reciprocating and rotary compression equipment.Experience with dehydration systems, gas processing equipment, and facility automation.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.H2S Awareness certification.First Aid/CPR certification.Operator Qualification (OQ) certifications.Experience with preventative maintenance and reliability programs.Work EnvironmentField-based position supporting compressor station operations.Rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities may be required.Work performed in varying weather conditions and remote operating locations.Frequent climbing, lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely work around operating industrial equipment.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols.Job DetailsPay: $44/per hrLocation: Midkiff, TXSchedule: 7/7 or 10/4
