Why Work at NYPCC:We Pay Down Your Student Loans!Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance is Paid for by NYPCC 100%Paid Time Off and Company Paid Holidays403B Retirement Plan with Match!Amazing Workplace CultureNYPCC Health and Wellness Events Job DescriptionNew York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric oversight across our Article 31 outpatient mental health clinics located in the Bronx, Bushwick, East New York and Jackson Heights.This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services in compliance with the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH).The Medical Director will supervise prescribers, support interdisciplinary care, and collaborate with executive leadership to advance clinical quality and program development.Key Responsibilities:Provide medical oversight for psychiatric services across outpatient clinicsSupervise and mentor psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitionersConduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planningEnsure compliance with OMH regulations and clinical standardsParticipate in quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement initiativesMonitor prescribing practices and support safe medication managementCollaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and strategic initiativesSupport interdisciplinary care coordination and participate in case conferencesQualificationsM.D. from an accredited medical schoolActive and unrestricted New York State physician licenseBoard-certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred Active DEA registrationMinimum 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient setting Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health settingsExperience with OMH Article 31 clinics and regulatory standardsFamiliarity with Medicaid/Medicare and value-based care modelsExperience working with serious mental illness populationsSkills:Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatment expertiseExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsCommitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and quality care Additional InformationReporting Structure:The Medical Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer and works closely with clinical and program leadership.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Salary: $325,000 - $350,000/yearCompensation will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
