Position: Project Engineer I, Byram Township, NJPosted: 03/04/2026SummaryCAPE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Construction Services Team. In this role, you'll provide a broad range of technical and engineering support to help deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective project outcomes. You will collaborate closely with senior construction services management and multidisciplinary teams to support CAPE's mission of technical excellence, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop practical, effective solutions to project challenges by collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and clarity of deliverables.Prepare high-quality plans and reports that are accurate, concise, and representative of project objectives, requiring minimal revision.Actively engage with internal and external clients to understand needs and provide exceptional service and communication.Identify and communicate potential quality issues to supervisors; assist with developing and implementing corrective actions and documenting lessons learned.Research and apply applicable industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements to assigned projects, and communicate them clearly to project teams.Provide diverse technical support including design and data evaluations, reporting, field engineering, and proposal development.Support regulatory research and permit application preparation for assigned projects.Review design drawings, specifications, and submittals; perform quantity take-offs; and assist with the development of contractor scopes of work.Participate in project meetings with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies as needed.SalaryUp to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.Travel50%.
