Electrical Engineer (Electrical-Machine Design)

Overview As a member of the Electrical Engineer Team, you will carry out comprehensive electrical design work, including panel layouts, component selection, and BOM creation, collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to deliver complete designs. You will prepare manufacturing-ready drawings, support integration with controls, and develop designs that improve production reliability. This role offers engagement across cross-functional teams and the opportunity to apply Industry 4.0 principles in a manufacturing setting. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers, controls engineers, manufacturing, and customers to develop systems and complete projectsProduce electrical designs and drawings under minimal supervision and prepare manufacturing-ready packagesCoordinate with shop staff during build and ensure adherence to customer requirements and standardsDesign for integration with pneumatic components and controlsDevelop electrical designs to resolve production issues and improve reliabilityShare design methodologies and standards to enhance team knowledgeCreate designs based on direction from program management and external engineersSupport legacy electrical designs and contribute to continuous improvement Key requirementsElectrical circuits knowledgePLC programming experienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceAbility to evaluate quotations, specs, and documentation to define design tasksStrong communication and collaboration skillsOrganizational and multitasking abilitiesWillingness to travel up to 20% to customer sitesEffective written and verbal communicationTeam collaborationAnalytical and decisive problem-solvingElectrical circuit designPLC programmingCAD and CAM
