Job ID: 114189The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.Job SummaryLead and deliver electrical engineering design and development for Leonardo DRS Land Electronics programs in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will guide a small team through the full product lifecycle - design, analysis, documentation, integration, and test support, ensuring technical execution meets performance, cost, schedule, and producibility targets. You'll translate customer requirements into robust subsystem and product designs, collaborate across engineering/manufacturing/suppliers, and contribute to proposals and program planning to deliver mission-ready solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystemsMay use computer-aided engineering or other design / analysis software in the performance of assignments.Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variableProvide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignmentsSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and servicesDrive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirementsDevelop prototypes to retire key development risksCommunicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as requiredParticipate in preparation of proposalsProvide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnelLead and direct the work of others as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experienceFluency in technologies and application domainFamiliar with development tools and proficient in their use (cadence experience is highly desirable)DoD industry experience with MIL-STD 810, 461, 1275 a plusTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
