Our curriculum and teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge in K-8 and a blended learning model in elementary school through high school. We are a TAP school!REPORTS TO/TERM:PrincipalThis is a 10-month positionEssential Key Functions:A ESS Resource Teacher will perform the following duties:Maintain student service logsCreate and modify student lessonsKeep daily service logsConduct small group lessonsProvide individual student servicesPush into general education classroomsCollaborate with classroom teachersProvide services to student as outlined in IEPWrite IEPsMeet deadlinesMonitor progressMaintain updated service scheduleMaintain updated caseload listsProvide accommodationsParental contacts w/documentationFacilitate academic testingFacilitate state testingCommunicate suspensionsAttend all required staff meetingsFile state documents in Special Education file and officeOther functions assigned by supervisorFollow all school policiesRequirementsRequirementsA bachelor's degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content areaValid (State) Teaching License for (K-6) or (K-12)At least one (or more) of the following:National Board CertificationCore Knowledge ExperienceExperience with Blended LearningAt least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment
